From brides to bridesmaids, Period Corsets Bridal can make your fairy tale wedding come true.
The setting for our fairy tale romance was a Manorbier Castle in Wales. Our
c. 1660 Kristina corset was the perfect base for our bride's corset gown made of golden silks and beaded lace over silk dupioni.
The bespoke corset was made of creamy silk dupioni with a beaded lace overlay and ribbon laces. The off-the-shoulder neckline provided a beautiful frame to our bride's lovely face, creating a look that combined a fairy tale essence with classic elegance.

material swatches are collected for testing before making the final pieces |
To personalize the shaping and test the structure Period Corsets first makes a mock-up of the skirt and corset style. This allows us to capture the exact look and fit for the customer before we create the final pieces out of more elegant fabrics.

Our streamlined fitting process allows us to work with our clients, both in-house or through email and Skype, to achieve a custom fit for each piece. Period Corsets has mastered the art of working with long distance clients who are unable to travel to our studio.

The final skirt was crafted from yards of gold silk, artfully gathered and draped to create a bustled back structure that cascaded into a train. This versatile and dramatic skirt created a perfect balance between the fullness at the back and her tiny corseted waist.

The bridesmaids wore colors inspired by the palette of the bridal bouquets |
To complement the beautiful bride, her three bridesmaids were outfitted in matching corsets and skirts, each in a color made to represent the flowers combined in her bridal bouquet. Red poppies, blue bachelor buttons, and pink sweetpeas.

Our swatch picks for bridesmaids, the chosen corset style, the final corset made in silk |
We worked with the bridal party to select the most flattering shape for each bridesmaid. The final choice was our Julia corset, a classic hourglass silhouette that is flattering on many different body types. To match their dupioni silk corsets, each bridesmaid wore a floral twirly skirt made of Liberty of London fine cotton prints.

The bridal party, pretty as fresh blooms |
Period Corsets shopped through a rainbow of fabric selections to find the perfect match for the bride and bridesmaids. Whether looking for an exact color match or something complementary, we can help you realize the possibilities of your dream fabrics.

Finishing touches- every corset is constructed for all day comfort |
Every bride has a different vision of their dream wedding. At Period Corsets, we do our best to help provide a path to achieving that vision. Our pictured bride, Becky, was looking for a traditional light palette but with a slight twist. By adding subtle golden hues and custom lace overlays we achieved the unique design she had envisioned.
With 20 years of experience, Period Corset's expertise can help you to achieve the look of your dreams. From heavily-detailed full gowns to special components we create to augment your own heirloom pieces, our corsets and skirts are designed with you in mind. More than a beautiful frame to complement your curves, our corsets provide comfort for your entire special day and will last " 'till death do you part".
